Pursued a Ph. D. degree since 1982 in Department of Chemistry, Rice University, U. S. A., and received a Ph. D. degree in May, 1986 (Supervisor: Prof. R. E. Smalley).

Entered Department of Chemistry, Xiamen University, 1978, and graduated in 1982 with a B.Sc. Degree.
