报告摘要:
The field of photonic/phononic integrated circuits is gaining significant momentum. In these integrated circuits, optical and acoustic waves can be electrically generated, manipulated, and detected on a single chip. Various nano-devices have been demonstrated, but suppression of undesired backscattering of optical and acoustic waves at nanoscale has been considered as a grand challenge on integrated platforms, which limits further increase of scalability and functionality of large-scale networks based on light and sound.
Originating from condensed-matter physics, topological insulators are a unique material that is insulating in its bulk but allows high-speed propagation of electrons on its edges. Similar concepts of topological insulators can also be applied to electromagnetic waves and acoustic waves, which are a promising strategy to suppress undesired backscattering in nanophotonic and nanoelectromechanical integrated circuits. In this presentation, I will introduce our recent experimental advances in topological nanophotonic and nanoelectromechanical devices on integrated platforms.

马静文博士,香港大学博士后,合作导师为张翔院士。2021年获得香港中文大学电子工程系博士学位,师从孙贤开教授。专注于拓扑光机电芯片,微纳光子学方面的研究,相关研究成果以第一及共一作者身份发表于Nature Nanotechnology、Science Advances、Advanced Materials等期刊。
