专家介绍:
Prof. Wolfgang Schmickler received his Doctor of Science degree from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the University of Bonn, Germany, in 1973. After the experiences of scientific assistant in University of Bonn, lecturer in University of Düsseldorf, and associate professor in Utah State University, He joined Ulm University in 1992 and promoted to be a full professor. Since 2014 He became a senior professor in Institute of Theoretical Chemistry at Ulm University.
Professor Schmickler’s research is focused on: electrocatalysis for fuel cells, metal deposition and dissolution, structure of solid/liquid interfaces, theory of in situ spectroscopies of solid/liquid interfaces, and foundations of electrochemical nanotechnology. He has published more than 280 papers in journals and monographs, 5 textbooks, and he is the editor 3 special issues of journals.
Prof. Elizabeth Santos earned her first degree diploma in physical chemistry from the University of Córdoba, Argentina, in 1979, and Doctor of physical chemistry in 1982 at the Faculty of Shemistry of the University of Córdoba, Argentina. She became a junior professor at the University of Córdoba in 1990, and full professor at the Technological University of the Air Force in 2000. She also served as the research co-worker at the University of Ulm since 1993 to 1996 and since 2007. She became the research project leader of the German Research Foundation (DFG) since 2007.
Professor Santos’s research interest includes: electrocatalysis, interfacial electrochemistry, single crystal surfaces and nanostructures, second harmonic generation, self assembled monolayers, electron transfer reactions (theoretical and experimental aspects), and density functional theory. She has published about 120 articles in international journals, 8 chapters and 2 books.
