Abstract
    In the development of new materials with desirable functions, it is vital to understand how the local structure controls the physical properties. Solid state NMR is a powerful technique investigating the local structures and dynamics of long range disordered materials. This talk will cover a few examples of using solid state NMR to understand the structure-function relationship of some energy related materials, including zeolitic catalysts, electrodes and solid electrolyte interface of Li-ion batteries.
