摘要:

    Different approaches about the reactivity of model platinum single crystal electrodes to understand complex electrocatalytic reactions will be described.

    Formic acid oxidation is a paradigmatic example of a self-poisoning reaction. In this case, a wise election of the surface orientation and composition enables to achieve negligible poisoning and high electrocatalytic reactivity, thus increasing the selectivity of the platinum electrocatalyst. In the case of ammonia oxidation, the surface structure at molecular level plays the major role. This reaction can be used to test the presence of {100} sites on the surface. The case of oxygen reduction on Pt(hkl) depicts different reactivity trends in acid and alkaline solutions. Comparison with peroxide reactivity suggests the existence of different paths, also related to surface charge.

Juan M. Feliu教授为西班牙阿利坎特大学电化学系教授,前国际电化学会主席(2003-2004),主要研究方向包括电催化、单晶电化学等。Feliu教授迄今已在Nature Energy、JACS,Angew等期刊发表论文180余篇,共计被引20618次(Google scholar),h-index :76。
