致力于原位电镜技术开发及其在材料、化学中的应用。完成了早期原位液相电镜晶体生长过程的示范性研究,成果两次在Science上发表论文,被评论为“Shaping the future of nanocrystal”。自主研制了多种原位透射电镜芯片和控制系统,实现了电化学反应界面及能源转化过程的高时空分辨研究。首次发现了锂硫电池中“电荷存储聚集反应新机制”,成果在Nature期刊发表并入选2023年度“中国科学十大进展”。发表论文100余篇,专利、软著40余件,出版学术著作4本。曾任ISO国际标准化组织微束分析委员会委员,目前任中国能源学会专家委员会委员,中国化学会高分子材料分析技术与表征方法专业委员会委员。
