报告摘要:Combining abundancy, sustainability, and industry compatibility, nanocellulose provides a unique framework of selection for nanomaterials and can create enormous opportunities across diverse length scales. This talk will focus on the emerging science and technology with nanocellulose and put these research opportunities into the large context such as energy, water and sustainability. I will first talk about the development of advanced thermal and optical management with cellulose. The specific examples will be given including our developed transparent wood and radiative cooling wood. I will then talk about the intriguing microfluidic and nanofluidic effect with cellulose, which was applied for solar desalination and ion regulation.
嘉宾介绍:Dr. Tian Li carried out graduate studies with Prof. Mario Dagenais in the area of microelectronics and electrophysics in Electrical Engineering at University of Maryland, where her research focused on the experimental and theoretical studies aimed at establishing a fundamental understanding of the non-linear optoelectronic processes governing the operation of quantum dot solar cells. Upon receiving her Ph.D., Dr. Li began postdoctoral studies with Prof. Liangbing Hu in the Materials Science at University of Maryland, where she has been working on multiple areas in energy conversion and management with the aid of materials innovation. Dr. Li has received recognitions such as Distinguished Dissertation Fellowship, Outstanding Graduate Assistant Award, Distinguished Summer Research Scholarship, HIVE 50 innovator and Forbes 30 under 30 in energy category, et al. Dr. Li has given a TEDx talk and has been interviewed by ABC (Australia Broadcasting Company), BYU radio and Science podcast for the outreach of her research. As the first author, Dr. Li has published in Science, Nature Materials, Nature Energy and Science Advances, et al.
